✨ The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll drive Wormhole’s adoption by:
- Owning the full deal cycle (inbound/outbound leads → partnerships).
- Identifying high-impact opportunities across DeFi, infrastructure, and more.
- Negotiating complex deals with top web3 projects.
- Optimizing GTM strategies to scale Wormhole’s ecosystem.
This is a high-visibility role for a crypto-native BD expert passionate about interoperability.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Management
- Triage inbound leads as the first point of contact.
- Develop outbound strategies to target high-potential projects.
- Build pipelines using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot).
2. Partnership Development
- Close strategic deals with protocols, DAOs, and developers.
- Speak fluently to technical/value propositions (e.g., cross-chain messaging, liquidity aggregation).
- Navigate complex negotiations with legal/token teams.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with engineering, marketing, and growth teams to align partnerships with product roadmaps.
- Advocate for partner needs internally.
4. Market Intelligence
- Track industry trends (L2s, appchains, DeFi innovations).
- Identify whitespace opportunities for Wormhole’s tech stack.
🔍 Who We’re Looking For
✅ Must-Have Skills:
- 3+ years in BD/Growth (web3 required; early-stage startup experience preferred).
- 2+ years in crypto with deep knowledge of DeFi, infrastructure, and interoperability.
- Proven closer with experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
- Crypto-native communicator (TG, Discord, crypto vernacular).
- Autonomous & proactive—you hustle without hand-holding.
✅ Bonus Points:
- Existing relationships with top protocols/VCs.
- Technical understanding of bridges, oracles, or modular blockchains.
Based in EST or EU time zones.
